Audemars Piguet 25594st

Thanks to the iconoclast Gerald Genta who had this genius stroke of pen in early 70s Audemars Piguet got its icon and most innovative watch design ever made which became and still is its best-seller: the Royal Oak.

In 1983 Audemars Piguet developed a Day-Date Royal Oak version ref. 25572 which AP improved in 1985 by adding Moon phases: the ref.25594.

This is the first version dial (Mk1) with small letters and long index with tritium luminous material. Original hands for hours & minutes also with tritium and original non luminous blued hands for subdials.
